Terms of service
Small Sites is a website service run by Otuya Web Design (“we”, “us”). These terms apply when you create a Small Sites account (“you”). By ticking “I agree” when you sign up, or by paying, you accept them.
1. What we provide
We design a one-page website for your business, host it at the address you choose (for example yourbusiness.ourpage.ng), and give you business email addresses on that address, for as long as your plan is paid. The plans are Standard (₦25,000 a year) and Plus (₦45,000 a year). What each plan includes is shown on our website and at checkout when you pay.
2. Your account
Give us true details and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you don’t confirm your email address within 7 days of signing up, and haven’t sent us your business details, we may remove the account and free the address for someone else.
3. Design and approval
We design your website from the details, logo and photos you send. You preview it privately in your dashboard before paying. You can ask for changes before you pay. Paying for your plan means you accept the design as it is at that time.
4. Payment
You pay yearly, in advance, by bank transfer, using the order number we give you as the transfer description. Your year starts on the day we confirm your payment. If you renew before your year ends, the new year starts when the old one ends, so you lose nothing by paying early. Prices may change; a change applies from your next payment, never to a year you have already paid for.
5. Refunds
Because you see and approve your website before paying, payments are not refundable once your website is live. If we take your payment and are unable to put your website online, we will refund you in full.
6. Changes to your website
You can change the words, pictures and backgrounds we mark as editable yourself, at any time. Other changes to the design are requested through Help in your dashboard. Plans that include design changes cover that number of reasonable change requests per paid year; other design work is quoted first, and you decide whether to go ahead and pay.
7. Renewal, going offline and deletion
We remind you by email before your year ends. If you don’t renew, your website goes offline the day after your paid year ends; your email addresses keep working for a while. If you still haven’t renewed 60 days after the end of your paid year, we delete your website, your email addresses and every email in them, your files and your account. We warn you before this happens. Renewing before then puts everything back as it was.
8. Your content
Your business name, logo, photos, words and the messages your customers send stay yours. You confirm you have the right to use everything you send us, and you give us permission to use it to build, host and show your website. The design we create is licensed to you for use on Small Sites while your plan is paid.
9. Acceptable use
You may not use Small Sites for anything illegal, for scams or fraud, to impersonate another business or person, to sell prohibited goods, to send spam, or for content that is hateful, sexual or that infringes someone else’s rights. We may take a website offline, and close the account without refund, if it breaks this rule.
10. Email
Business email is for normal business use. Bulk or marketing email is not allowed. Each address has a size limit set by your plan; mail may stop arriving when it’s full.
11. Referral rewards and coupons
If a business signs up with your referral link and pays for its first year, you get 5% off your next yearly payment, adding up to at most 100% for one year. Discounts are taken off when you next pay, have no cash value, and we may change or end the scheme for future referrals. Coupon codes work the same way, under the conditions shown with each code.
12. Availability and liability
We work to keep websites and email running, but we can’t promise they will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or problems with our hosting provider. We keep copies of your website so we can restore it. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem, and we are not responsible for lost sales or profits.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we’ll email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Small Sites after that means you accept the new terms.
